Welcome to Kim's New Page

So, what do you do when your only child heads off to college and at the same time you find yourself single again? Well, I guess you turn a new page. I was trying to figure out "What do I want to do now?". I decided that I wanted to have adventures. I have started to catalog them here. It is amazing to me how much the journey and path have already changed since starting this project back in September. I have gone from healing, to challenging to myself, to looking forward at my future in a whole new way. My new motto:
"I refuse to live a small, safe life -- but I will endeavor to walk quietly and touch the world gently"

Adventure #3 Guitar Under the Stars

Saturday night - Headed up to Hartford to meet Becky and Dean at their "home in the hood".  Super cute place!  We put Basset Hound Abner into his harness, grabbed a few "roadies" (aka beers) and took a walk into Hartford.  We trekked to the Riverfront to see "Guitar Under the Stars" with Daniel Salazar backed by the Hartford Festival  Orchestra in a concert featuring Spanish, Latin, and World Music.  Very cool! 


Abner was on his very best behavior as always!



After the show we hit the Arch Street Tavern and then headed home.  Abner's little legs were getting tired, so he played "therapy dog" and got us on the Star Shuttle which gaves a ride part of the way back.
