Welcome to Kim's New Page

So, what do you do when your only child heads off to college and at the same time you find yourself single again? Well, I guess you turn a new page. I was trying to figure out "What do I want to do now?". I decided that I wanted to have adventures. I have started to catalog them here. It is amazing to me how much the journey and path have already changed since starting this project back in September. I have gone from healing, to challenging to myself, to looking forward at my future in a whole new way. My new motto:
"I refuse to live a small, safe life -- but I will endeavor to walk quietly and touch the world gently"

Adventure #2 Norwich Inn and Spa

No pics for this one.  When I returned from Michigan I headed to the Norwich Inn and Spa for the week.  Stupid expensive and I still had to work each day, but it was wonderful.  It was so peaceful there.  I needed to be away from the house and do some R&R.  (I think one of those "R"s was for the Ravenwood Red Zin that I drank a lot of while I was there!).  I went on their 7am walks, and took morning meditation classes followed by yoga.  In the evenings I took more yoga and meditation classes and had great dinners.  In the evenings I sat outside next to the beautiful fountain they have at the front entrance.  I think some healing went on while I was there.  On one of the morning walks I met a really nice woman who is going through some similar life changes.  We exchanged numbers and plan on doing some kayaking together!  Oh, and I did manage to fit one massage in which was wonderful.  I plan on going back again -- maybe just for a day next time though!

  1. Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging, Kim. I haven't had the experience of sending a child off to college; it doesn't seem like 33 years (EEEK!!) have passed since I went to Penn State. I had a great time and managed to learn a few things while I was there. I'm sure your daughter will do the same.
